On March 5 PETON jointly with Ufa State Petroleum Technological University held the 6th annual contest of student research papers for professor Marushkin B.K. scholarship. The contest is a joint event of SRDI O&G “Peton”, LLC and the petrochemicals and chemical engineering faculty of the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University. The goal of the event is to support and develop the creative and scientific potential of young talented students.
This year the students wrote papers covering such topics as “The design of contact devices and other types of equipment for oil and gas industry”, and also performed the comparative analysis of different types of modern equipment.
Nikita Minchenkov (БТС-20-01) became the winner with his paper “Analysis of the adsorption and desorption methods”.
The 2nd and the 3rd places were shared between 4 students: Elza Bogdanova, Veronika Zolotukhina and Elina Aktuganova, Nailya Davletshina.
All students besides the scholarship will get an opportunity to undertake an internship at PETON, and the best of them will receive a job offer.
PETON has been actively cooperating with specialized universities and colleges for many years, not only supporting the students and postgraduates, but also inviting the graduates under the young specialists program to implement new ideas and production innovation.

Boris Marushkin is a Soviet and Russian scientist, oil refinery technology specialist; educator. Doctor of Engineering, professor. Honored Scientist and Engineer of the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. Professor Marushkin was one of the first specialists in the oil refinery sphere to realize the importance of computing tools for calculation of technological processes. The first in the country Electronic Computing Machine program for calculating fractioning columns taking into account a large array of factors impacting the separation process of various mixtures (rectification process) was created under his guidance.
