2021-07-09

Russia’s largest gas processing plant has started its operation. The facility will process multi-component natural gas from the Irkutsk and Yakutsk production complexes. To date, the first process train of the plant has been launched.

PETON contributed to the project in the EPSS format (engineering, procurement and site services). Under the contract, PETON worked jointly with Russian and international partners on the engineering and construction of NGL/NRU and Helium Concentrate Production, as well as Helium Fine Purification, Liquefaction and Packaging Unit.

AGPP’s throughput capacity exceeds 40 bln cubic metres of gas per year. According to its creators, this is the first gas processing plant of this scale since the collapse of the Soviet Union.
