The students of Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU) Salavat Branch “Automated Management of Business Processes and Finance” are taking internships in the Company’s Information Technology Department.
The interns are learning about the processes and certain projects implemented by the IT Department, electronic document exchange system, corporate portal, and other software products. As part of the internship, the students work together with PETON specialists on a number of problems of practical significance for the Company.
The Company has worked hard on the digital transformation of business since 2020, and the interns have an opportunity to learn about the pilot developments of systems based on artificial intelligence, Process Mining, data analytics, etc. It is the first time the USPTU Salavat Branch has collaborated with Technological Engineering Holding PETON in the field of students’ internships. The management expressed hopes that productive cooperation in this area would continue.
In the meanwhile, PETON concurrently had summer interns with such majors as “Chemical Technology of Natural Energy Resources and Carbon Materials”, “Gas Chemistry”, and “Essential Chemical Engineering Processes and Chemical Cybernetics”.
Also, PETON deeply contributes to the development of the succession pool from current students by creating dedicated departments, sponsoring lectures and workshops, offering work experience and internship opportunities, and incorporating real-life cases in the curricula of dedicated universities. The Company has implemented a development system for the highest-potential young professionals providing for future career growth and expansion of their functions and areas of responsibility.
