PETON AWARDED SCHOLARSHIP TO USPTU STUDENTS

The 5th anniversary student projects defense for the Professor Boris Marushkin scholarship for the 2022/2023 academic year took place at Ufa State Petroleum Technological University. The contest winners were awarded scholarships and honorary certificates. All contestants got an opportunity to enroll in internship at SRDI Oil&Gas “Peton” LLC, which traditionally supports USPTU students.
The event was held at the industrial research chair "Simulation and Design for Chemical Engineering Process and Vessels”, which is part of the "Petrochemistry and Chemical Engineering" department of the USPTU Process Faculty.
“The Student Paper Contest for the Boris Marushkin scholarship is an important and significant event where business cooperates with science. As a result of synergy, students get an opportunity to demonstrate their interest and competencies and to conduct research that can be adapted to real practical needs of engineering. In future, the students have an opportunity to come to PETON, first as interns, and then as employees,” says Svetlana Churakova, Professor of the Department of Petrochemistry and Chemical Engineering at USPTU and Head of the Mass Transfer Equipment Department at SRDI Oil&Gas “Peton” LLC.
Eight best research papers out from 36 applications were shortlisted for the face-to-face round of the contest. In their works students covered various oil and gas processing topics.
Following the results of the student projects defense, Nikita Minchenkov, the 3rd year student, was announced as the first place winner with his research paper "Modification of Synthetic Rubber and Mathematical Method to Determine the Optimal Content of Additives".
