Defence of the pilot project was held at the Company’s headquarter in Ufa as part of the National Project for Labour Efficiency Improvement and Employment Support at the participant enterprise, Peton Construction LLC forming a part of PETON holding.
The purpose of the project is to improve the labour efficiency through the application of lean manufacturing tools, as well as to improve skills and engagement of personnel.
The pilot project was successfully implemented at the Portovaya CS LNG Complex construction site. The pilot project lasted from December 14, 2020 till April 30, 2021.
To achieve the set goals, the production condition diagnostics was intensively performed, which afforded the construction of current value creation flow map and troubleshooting.
As a result of the project, improvement measures were introduced in 3 areas:
- Processes. Development of the process to be improved within the pilot project.
- System Changes in the management system, motivation, management accounting, and other systems.
- Culture Mentality and customer focus of the employees: improvement of such criteria as loyalty and involvement.
Training was organised for the team, managers, and methodologists (change agents within the company) to implement the pilot project.
The Company management as well as representatives of the Press Centre of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Bashkortostan, regional manger of Lin-Vector LLC, representatives of Regional Competence Centre of the Republic of Bashkortostan were present at the project defence. The event also witnessed specialists being awarded with diplomas for successful implementation of the Federal Project for Targeted Support of Labour efficiency at Enterprises at “Peton Construction”.
“The participation in the programme is an important stage in the development of the whole Company. Procedures and plans have been developed to improve the production efficiency, motivate the staff, as well as to increase the competitiveness of the enterprise and to upgrade the construction process. It is the first and significant experience for the company in the implementation of such a project, and today we can say that this experience has become very useful and helped to implement a number of measures to optimise and improve labour efficiency,” Eduard Gasanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Peton, commented.
Further, in the second half of 2021 the company will be implementing the planned actions to increase labour efficiency, to improve the outcome, and to start new working processes.
