On 17 November, a meeting chaired by Deputy Governor A.A. Alekseenko was held at the Krasnodar Region Administration Office. The meeting on the issues related to justification of investments in construction the LNG plant in the Black Sea coastal area was attended by the heads of ministries and departments of the Region Administration and representatives of JSC Tamanneftegaz, JSC Taman Seaport, and SRDI O&G Peton LLC.
The key item on the agenda was the review and approval by executive authorities of the plant sites on the Taman Peninsula proposed by SRDI O&G Peton LLC as part of the Notice (Declaration) of Intent being drafted, with regard to the opinions of JSC Tamanneftegaz intending to invest in construction of its own LNG plant and JSC Taman Seaport that has reserved the area on the peninsula to engage an investor to construct an LNG plant.
The meeting resolved to set up a working group including all the parties concerned to agree upon the project site.
