The first items of equipment – reactors R-201, 202, 203 – were delivered and installed in November within the framework of facility “Combined Unit for Motor Gasoline Production” at Novoshakhtinsk Refinery in Rostov Oblast.
These reactors are the heart of the unit where high-octane number components of gasoline are produced using platinum-containing catalyst.
The installation of main equipment represents an important phase in building capital construction facilities within the framework of “III Construction Stage of Novoshakhtinsk Refinery, OJSC. Combined Unit for Motor Gasoline Production” (CUMGP) at Novoshakhtinsk Refinery.
Within the framework of project implementation, the construction site has been developed, warehousing facilities and administration area temporary buildings have been arranged. More than 18,000 piles have been driven and more than 18,000 m3 of concrete have been produced, heaters for naphtha hydrotreatment unit and reforming section are being delivered and installed.
Currently, the activities related to the installation of interconnections’ steel structures have been started.
More than 800 people and 130 pieces of equipment are involved in the process of construction and installation.
Combined Unit for Motor Gasoline Production is designed to process straight-run low-octane gasoline up to 894 KTPA and to produce hydrogen to ensure the operation of kerosene & diesel hydrotreatment unit. Combined Unit for Motor Gasoline Production will give new commodity output – Euro-5 standard motor gasoline.
